Things to know before you start

ALL PLAYERS, COACHES, MANAGERS AND SENIOR MEN’S REFEREES ARE REQUIRED TO REGISTER AT THE FOOTBALL AUSTRALIA (FA) PLAY FOOTBALL PORTAL.

1. BEFORE you go to Football Australia’s PlayFootball registration system, please read the summary below that explains how to start using it:
   • When you go to PlayFootball, select “Get Started”.  Then:
     • For parents registering a child:
       • If your child played in 2024 – select “Sign In” (login using same email as previous season)
       • If your child is new in 2025 to the MWFA AND you have used PlayFootball before – select “Sign In (login using same email as previous season)
       • If your child is new in 2025 to the MWFA BUT you have NOT used PlayFootball before – select “Continue” and follow instructions
     • For players registering themselves:
       • If you played in 2024 – select “Sign In” (login using same email as previous season)
       • If you are new in 2025 to the MWFA BUT you have NOT used PlayFootball before – select “Continue” and follow instructions
2. NEXT, please read the detailed instructions HERE on how to register.
3. THEN, go to the PlayFootball system and register .. click HERE to go to PlayFootball.

• Once logged into your new PlayFootball account, you will be able to link existing details, or create new accounts, for your children.
• Be sure to have ready a new ‘passport-style’ photo (for U10 and over), your NSW ActiveKids Voucher and if necessary, your Working With Children (WWC) Clearance.
• All junior (U6-U11) and youth (U12-U18) coaches and managers must have a NSW Working With Children (WWC) clearance. The WWC clearance is FREE for volunteers and can be applied for HERE.  Please input your WWC clearance number during the FA PlayFootball manager/coach registration process.
• Follow the prompts to complete the registration process, with all fees to be paid online during registration. Players will be notified by the club when registration is fully approved.

Vouchers & Discounts

NSW Active Kids Voucher – All school age players (U6 – W18/U18) can apply for a $50 Active Kids voucher at Service NSW Active Kids Program. The $50 Active Kids voucher can be redeemed via the FA PlayFootball registration process against the costs for the 2024 Season. Please note that once redeemed during registration, the $50 Active Kids voucher is non-refundable under any circumstances.  You’ll be asked to enter voucher details during registration (Tip: Make sure you enter the number without spaces or it won’t be used and you’ll be charged the full amount).

Family Discounts – a discount on the registration fee are available when 2 or more members of the same family (parent and dependent children) register. Select ‘Family Discount Product’ option during registration.

Jersey Re-Use Discount – players from the U6 – W11/U11 age groups can choose to receive a $20 discount by re-using a clean “Clarke & Humel” sponsored jersey from past seasons.  Re-using jerseys with a different sponsor is not permitted.  Select the ‘Jersey Re-Use’ option during registration.  Unfortunately this jersey re-use option is not available for the W12/U12-seniors age groups as it is too complicated because those jerseys need to be numbered.

Fees (2025)  NOT YET FINALISED

Fees in 2025 have increased slightly. We’ve endeavoured to minimise the increase to ensure a sustainable year for the club. Football NSW and MWFA, have increased their fees on average by almost 8%. Additionally, due to the ever increasing administration burden and the dwindling number of volunteers, the club is introducing a paid administration role which will make a huge difference with the day to day running of the club and the services we can deliver for you.  As ever we remain hugely grateful to our Sponsors whose generous contributions allow us to keep our fees lower than they would otherwise be.
