Good news. Our registration fees for 2022 will be noticeably less than in 2021.
In 2021 we had to spend some of the registration fees on start of season expenses like shirts, footballs, gear and grounds, and we made good our commitments to our coaching team for the full season in order to ensure continuity for the players, but we didn’t use all of it due to the season being shortened by COVID.
As we’re a not-for-profit organisation, we’ve been looking at ways we can return those funds to you or reinvest them for our members benefit.
We’ll be setting aside some of the funds for new development services that we’ll introduce, as we continue to bolster our development program, and we’ll also be reducing our share of the fees in 2022.
You may know that Seaforth FC only gets a part of your registration fees (between 30% to ~50%) – the rest of it goes to Football Australia, Football NSW, and to the local Manly Warringah Football Association.
We’ve decided that in 2022 that we’ll continue to keep the fees the same as the last two seasons and we’ll reduce the Seaforth FC component of the registration fees to every registered player in 2022. The MWFA has also reduced their component as a way of similarly returning unused funds from 2021 and our approach has been similar to that.
As part of our continued commitment to sustainability in our community we’re also providing a further discount on registration fees for players who wish to reuse the shirt they received in 2021.
We hope this shows our continued commitment to our members in what has been trying times for everyone .. and that you really enjoy the upcoming season.
