2026 REGISTRATIONS ARE OPEN

Things to know before you start

All players, coaches, managers and Senior Men’s team referees

  • You need to register using the Football Australia PlayFootball system (a link is provided below).
  • All players need an account/login to the system.  If a player does not have an existing account/login a new one needs to be created.
  • Parents of players under 18 years of age also need to have or create their own account/login which can then be linked to the accounts/logins of their children.
  • All fees need to be paid online during registration.  You can see our fees HERE.
  • For all player, coach and manager registrations W10/U10 and older, either renewing or a new registration, you MUST supply a new ‘passport-style’ photo – ie. showing only the head, in colour, no glasses, and without any other people or objects in frame.
  • Players will be notified by the club when all documentation has been received and the registration is fully approved.

For players

  • You can confirm which age group(s) you are eligible to play in HERE.
  • Girls Only competition: From under 8s, girls can elect to play in a Girls Only competition (W7 to W18 on Sundays), a Mixed competition (U6 to U18 on Saturdays), or in both competitions (this requires a “Dual” registration).
  • Dual Registrations: Any players wishing to play both in the Boys/Mixed (Saturday) and in the Girls (Sunday) competitions should contact the club Registrar.
  • Playing up and age: Normally, children should play in the age group that is the same as the age that they will turn in the calendar year.  In some cases, children can play up an age division, but approval must be sought from the club.  Please check with your relevant Age Coordinator before you register.  You are not allowed to play down an age group.

For managers & coaches

  • All junior (U6-U11) and youth (U12-U18) coaches and managers must have a NSW Working With Children (WWC) clearance. The WWC clearance is FREE for volunteers and can be applied for HERE.
  • WWC Ids (and the WWC Expiry date) must be entered during registration.  You cannot register until you have visited the NSW Service Centre to complete your government WWC process.
  • The MWFA will not allow teams without both a registered coach and manager to play.  Enforcement of this rule commences as of game #1.

For Senior Men’s Team Referees

  • All Men’s AL2 and below, O35, O45 and O55 senior teams are required by the MWFA to have two (2) qualified and registered referees.
  • Registering in PlayFootball as a team referee is required in addition to registering as a player.
  • Information about the Team Referee courses to obtain qualifications can be found here .. Senior Men’s Team Referees Information.
