2026 REGISTRATIONS ARE OPEN

Things to know before you start

ALL PLAYERS, COACHES, MANAGERS AND SENIOR MEN’S REFEREES ARE REQUIRED TO REGISTER AT THE FOOTBALL AUSTRALIA (FA) PLAY FOOTBALL PORTAL.

  • You need to register using the Football Australia PlayFootball system (a link is provided below).
  • All players need an account/login to the system.  If a player does not have an existing account/login a new one needs to be created.
  • Parents of players under 18 years of age also need to have or create their own account/login which can then be linked to the accounts/logins of their children.
  • Follow the prompts to complete the registration process, with all fees to be paid online during registration. Players will be notified by the club when registration is fully approved.
  • For all player, coach and manager registrations U10 and older, either renewing or a new registration, you MUST supply a new ‘passport-style’ photo – ie. showing only the head, in colour, no glasses, and without any other people or objects in frame.

Managers & Coaches

  • All junior (U6-U11) and youth (U12-U18) coaches and managers must have a NSW Working With Children (WWC) clearance. The WWC clearance is FREE for volunteers and can be applied for HERE.
  • WWC Ids (and the Expiry date) must be entered during registration.  You cannot register until you have visited the NSW Service Centre to complete your government WWC process.
  • The MWFA will not allow teams without both a registered coach and manager to play.  Enforcement of this new rule commences as of game #1.

Other notes

  • Dual Registrations: Any players wishing to play in the Boys/Mixed (Saturday) and the Girls (Sunday) competitions should contact the club Registrar.
  • Active Kids Vouchers are now subject to means testing and must be claimed BEFORE registering in PlayFootball.  Refer to Services NSW website for more information.

Fees 2026

Fees in 2026 have gone up slightly due to notable increases in MWFA/FFA costs (8% to 12%). We’ve worked hard to keep our fee costs as low as possible.

Recycled Gear

We encourage donating used jerseys in good condition from previous seasons for charitable distribution. In 2025, we celebrated seeing teams in Uganda sporting SFC jerseys. For the first three weeks of the season, you can bring donated items to the Canteen at Seaforth Oval. Good-condition football boots are also welcome for recycling.
