Subject: Important Information from Manly Warringah Football Referees Association
To all referees,
To clarify some issues that have recently arisen, the following is important information that all referees must be aware of for future reference:
Availability
:: All referees MUST inform Tony of any change to their availability a minimum of 14 days prior to a scheduled game day. What does this mean? For example, if you are UNAVAILABLE for games on the weekend of 5th/6th May, then you must EMAIL Tony (wse78838@bigpond.net.au) by Saturday 21st April at the latest so he can note your absence and reschedule accordingly.
:: In the event of an unforeseen circumstance (i.e. illness or urgent work/family commitment) and you need to cancel your appointment inside the 14 day period, you are required to immediately call Tony (on 9982 5823, no VM on mobiles). Then, send an email outlining the reason and length of your unavailability to secretary@mwfra.com .
Youth League
:: We remind all referees of the fact that, by volunteering for Youth League appointments they will referee games wherever they are appointed - if you do not wish to travel, you will not be appointed to any Youth League games.
Part-time Referees
:: A short note to confirm that until further notice, and if you are the home team, you are to referee the home game immediately preceding or following the game you are competing in. So if you are due to play at 1pm, then you referee the 3pm game or vice-versa.
Send Off Reports
:: A reminder to ALL referees (from recent to Life Members) that they are REQUIRED to contact Kevin Martin whenever they have issued a red card.
